We are the Champions! IDPWD Celebration
Thomastown Recreation & Aquatic Centre (TRAC), in partnership with Thomastown Neighbourhood House and Innovation Youth Centre, is proud to once again host We Are The Champions, a special celebration recognising International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD).
Taking place on Tuesday 1 December from 10:30am, this free community event brings together people living with disability, their families, carers, support workers and local organisations for a day of connection, entertainment and celebration.
Following the success of last year’s event, which welcomed more than 250 attendees and featured a wide range of community services, performances and activities, this year promises to be another vibrant and inclusive gathering.
Attendees can look forward to:
- Live music, singing and dancing
- Entertainment and guest speakers
- Community agency information stalls
- Games and giveaways
- Snacks and refreshments
- Opportunities to connect with local support services and community groups
We Are The Champions is designed to celebrate the unique strengths, achievements and contributions of people living with disability while fostering greater social connection and community inclusion.
The event reflects the shared commitment of TRAC, Thomastown Neighbourhood House and Innovation Youth Centre to creating welcoming spaces where everyone can participate, connect and thrive.
